Youth Bullets Program

GET READY FOR BULLETS 2023-2024!

A view of the program for rising 5th through 8th graders.
This is consisting of players with graduation years of 2028-2031.

Fall:  September, October, November
The Bay State Bullets will enter their seventh year in the fall of 2023. Talented and committed players who have accepted a spot on our roster will be accepting a spot within our full 2023-2024 Bay State Bullets program year.

Once tryouts have concluded in August and our teams have been selected, the players will take part in a 3-month outdoor fall season that runs from September to November.  We will hold either a training session or we will attend a tournament on Sunday’s between September 10th and November 15th.  We will attend four 1-day local tournaments. This intensive training is designed to cultivate player/coach camaraderie and provide necessary learning time to prepare players and teams for a fast paced start to the club lacrosse season.

Fall Tournaments- FOUR EVENTS

Each team will be assigned one head coach.  The head coach will work in collaboration with varied staff assistant coaches.  The consistency of our leadership is a critical staple in evaluating player strengths and weaknesses.  A solid individual player evaluation allows the coach to truly individualize instruction.  This also gives the coach the opportunity to place players in the most productive positions to succeed.  Our assistant coaching staff rotation will provide all players the opportunity to work with different coaches and different coaching styles.  The consistent head coach and rotating assistant coach model is something we feel is an essential part of player and team development.  Four fall tournaments are included in tuition.

Winter:  December, January and February (concludes in early March)
Our youth teams will train indoors, two practices a month during the winter season.  We also offer optional programs.  We offer Functional Training and Skills Clinics at The Edge and Northboro Teamworks.

In an effort to compete at the highest possible levels at the upper youth division, we will hold consistent meetings (practices, tournaments, games) from September through July. Although we recognize the winter months can be very busy for our players involved in other sports, we have added 6 additional practices in total over the winter season. These will be in place in hopes to keep sticks in player's hands more consistently over the course of the winter. We are adding 2 practices per month during the Months of December, January and February. These practices will take place on Sunday mornings at the Edge in Bedford.

There will be optional events- These are NOT included in tuition.

7v7 small-sided winter tournaments offered as well.
-All Elite (7v7) -- Plymouth -- January

12v12 tournament offered as well.
-Achieve Lax Girls Jamboree -- Taunton -- March/April

Not included in tuition is skill and strength and conditioning clinic offerings.  "Center Hash" offers clinics and leagues throughout the winter season, which are lead by the coaches of the Bay State Bullets.  Players who seek to improve their level of play are encouraged to take advantage of "Center Hash" winter program opportunities.

The Bay State Bullets look forward to the spring/summer season, which is comprised of highly talented and committed players who share our club’s drive to play with and compete against the region’s top talent.

Spring:  March, April, May (concludes in early June)
Our youth Bay State Bullet teams will participate in a series of games this spring.  Directors will be carefully match teams for highly competitive play on Saturdays.  As we navigate the state Covid Restrictions, we will announce more details.  8 spring games are included in tuition.

Summer:  June, July
Our Bullets season is in full swing when the weather heats up. Our players will have trained with their teams, will have participated in leagues and clinics, and will have attended tournaments.  Players will have become acclimated with their coaches and with their teammates and they are ready to play and compete for the titles in local, regional, (with some of our teams) national tournaments.

Beginning in June, head coaches will hold summer team training sessions.  Bullet teams will participate in four summer tournaments.  A total of four tournaments will be a part of your summer calendar.  Four summer tournaments are included in tuition.
