FAQ

What ages/grades do we teach?
YOG 2021-2030
- Bitty Bullets: 3rd and 4th grade
- Youth Bullets: 5th through 8th grade
- High School: 9th through 12th grade

What does the tryout process look like?
All players must participate in the tryout process in order to be placed on a team.  There are two possible tryout dates (8/1 and 8/4) that players can attend.  The cost to tryout is $80.00 and this is a one-time fee.  All players must tryout at least once, but can attend up to three tryouts.

How many players will make a team?
We have high expectations for commitment from our players.  We expect outstanding attendance which precludes us from having to carry over sized rosters.  As a result, players can expect attending a travel tournament and being able to receive reasonable playing time. We do not believe in making monetary sacrifices to attend a tournament and restrict playing time on account of an excessively large bench.   22 players - 20 field players and 2 goalies.

My daughter is a goalie, what will her program look like?
A full-time goalkeeper’s tuition is half of the full price of tuition. This is largely due to the understanding that club goalkeepers do not get the individual attention as often as one would hope. With this in mind, we recognize that 1-on-1 training, camps and clinics are a necessary supplement to our GK training.  The Bullets team of coaches believes that goalkeepers best develop by a consistent “team” head coach, along with a myriad of goalkeeping trainers.

We are excited to bring on staff three goalkeeping coaches:
- Indigo FoxTree McGrath, Bullets GK Director
- Alysha Cericola
- Aileen Kelley
- Hannah Allen
- Liz Bransford
- Madiso
n Grazidei

Each GK coach brings different perspective and insight. We want our athletes to be exposed to a variety of coaching styles, so as to meet the needs of all learners.

In addition to our Bullet GK coaches working with players during select practices and tournaments, we will offer free GK training options. Some of the options will be offered by the Bullets, and some will be offered by college and other private goalkeeping programs.

We understand we alone cannot fit the need of every single goalkeeper. We understand that any one club cannot be the lone avenue for specialized GK instruction. But, we recognize that our goalkeeping and leadership staff can be productive in highlighting and disseminating information to our Bullet goalies. This comprehensive, “it takes a village” approach to positional, or functional, training is an essential piece in developing our goalkeepers.

What is the level of commitment expected?
We want players who will make a commitment to their coaches, to their team, and to their own development.  We understand that “people often get back what they put in,” but we are looking for an even bigger commitment from our players.  We will be carefully looking for players who are talented but who can also make a strong commitment.

Where will practices be held?
Practices will be held in Metrowest from Bedford to Northborough. Our facilities are typically close to rt. 128 and the Mass Pike region of MA.

-Outdoor practice will be held at Framingham State University, Regis College, Edge Sports Center in Bedford, and Lincoln Fields in Lexington.

Is there a playing time policy?
All players who participate in practice regularly will receive playing time at tournaments and in league games.  We do not guarantee equal playing time.  However, we have found that players who put forth commitment in practices tend to develop at a faster rate.  These players tend to find more playing time and more success as a result.

What is the cost of tuition?
Tuition for the 2021-2022 year is $2075.00.  This will include: all practices, select tournaments, league participation (for youth), motto t-shirt, and player shooting shirt.

This will be broken up over the course of the first 4 months of the season.
